GRITSTONE: Phase 1 trial

The Vaccine Trials teams at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust approached us to help recruit healthy volunteers to a study testing a new vaccine to be used as a booster to prevent coronavirus infection (Covid-19).

The study had several different cohorts that required very specific groups of people, each requiring participants to be enrolled for a 12-month period.  We approached potential volunteers using the specific criteria from each of the cohorts and tailored invites accordingly.

Alice Breeze (Clinical Trials Manager, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust) said:

“Research for the Future is vital to our research, especially our healthy volunteer studies.  The application and referral processes are straight forward, and the Research for the Future team are helpful and knowledgeable.  Participants come to us interested, well informed, and fit the appropriate cohort criteria.”
