“I am immensely grateful to the Research for the Future team for their efforts advertising our study exploring the association between high-density lipoprotein functionality and microvascular and macrovascular complications in type 1 diabetes.

“The Help BEAT Diabetes campaign initiative provided an opportunity for diabetes patients to participate in this study who would not have been reached by our efforts recruiting in diabetes centres.

“It was immediately apparent that the Research for the Future database is a vital resource for all researchers with an interest in diabetes. It was a pleasure to be able to work with patients as passionate as our research team about advancing our understanding of diabetes and managing the condition.”
