Acceptability of time restricted eating

Time restricted eating (TRE) is a dietary approach that involves purposefully eating and drinking all daily calories within a certain number of hours each day, for example choosing to eat all food for the day in an 8 hour period and fasting for the remaining 16 hours. Previous research has shown that TRE can help manage blood sugar levels.

This survey wants to gather opinions on the acceptability of TRE in people who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, or who been told they are at risk of developing it.

Results from the survey will be used to inform a funding application and help to design a future research study.

It is being carried out by researchers from Manchester Metropolitan University and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

This study has ended and is currently not accepting new applicants.
