This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a new vaccine, mRNA-1403, to prevent acute gastroenteritis caused by norovirus.

Norovirus (commonly called ‘the vomiting bug’) is highly contagious, causing severe sickness and diarrhoea, particularly in winter months.

This phase 3 clinical trial is taking place across the UK and worldwide. It is sponsored by Moderna.
