Knowledge and trust of medicines regulation

This project wants to explore knowledge and trust in the regulation of medicines within the Black community.

Having trust in healthcare professionals means believing that they and their organisations are reliable, honest, competent, and act in your best interest. Being able to find, understand and use health information is key to building trust and making personal health decisions.

Many people in the UK Black community do not trust the people who care for their health, which can lead to unfair health outcomes.  There is little research about what people from the UK Black community know about how the UK makes sure medicines are safe and effective (medicines regulation), and how this affects their trust.

This project is being carried out by researchers at the University of Bath.
